Megan Mgbemena has earned her Bachelors in Fine Arts at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, USA. She also attained her K-12 Teaching Certification from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
She has taught here at Raffles American School as an Elementary Art Teacher since 2018. Before that, she spent two years as a Middle School Special Education Teacher’s Assistant in Pennsylvania, USA, and three years as a Primary Art Teacher in Qatar.
Throughout her professional journey, she has developed a deep appreciation for the power of art in a child’s life. Megan believes that art is a means of self-expression and a tool for enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving, and building self-esteem. Her teaching philosophy revolves around creating a supportive and inclusive environment where students can discover their unique artistic skills.
Megan is committed to the success and development of her students. She will continue to provide individualized guidance, keep a creative and open-minded classroom, foster a culture of growth, and guide students toward opportunities in art.
