Maureen holds a BA from the University of Waterloo in Canada and a BEd from Canada too.  She will be working on a Masters in Education in Literacy.  Maureen is an Orton Gillingham Practitioner and is passionate about research based best practices in literacy for primary.  She completed a PYP course in Play Based Learning and taught in a Reggio Emilia school. Maureen became a certified teacher in 2000. She’s taught in Toronto, Bangkok, Seoul, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and near Vancouver.  Maureen has taught PreK to Grade 7.  Most of her teaching years have been in PreK to Grade 1.  Maureen believes the primary years are where the magic is!
