Grade 9 – 10 Bintan, Indonesia

Bintan is the largest island in the Riau Island and is an exotic location for adventure seekers. With crystal clear waters and idyllic surroundings, Bintan is world renown and we are incredibly excited to bring our students to experience it. 

Our students will be involved in a variety of activities, from archery and beach volleyball to tree planting. The main focus of the trip is to build a safe water garden for one of the Kampungs.

Famous for their numerous sustainability awards, as well as the renowned, World’s Best Eco Resort, our students will be staying at the LooLa Resort

Grade 9 – 12 

Langkawi Malaysia

13 – 17 April 2020

Langkawi is situated on Malaysia’s West coast and is an archipelago of 99 islands. Simply put, Langkawi is picturesque. Visitors are treated to a tropical paradise of powder-fine white sand, coconut trees, well-protected turquoise water, and a natural, ecologically protected landscape.

Students will enjoy some sightseeing, but will really be immersed in the environment, from replanting mangroves and building nests for wild birds to visiting a children’s welfare home and helping with refurbishment.

Students will be staying at Langkawi Seaview

Wednesday April 13th Activities
10:30am – 3:15pm Arrival to Senai by 11:30am for check-in to flight. 1:55pm Air Asia flight to Langkawi, arrives at 3:15pm. (Student to bring money for own lunch at airport)
3:15pm – 6:00pm Sightseeing visit to Kuah Town, Dataran Lang and Taman Lagenda. Then tea break
6:00pm – 7:30pm Check in to the hotel
7:30pm – 8:30pm Dinner
8:30pm – 10:00pm Fun ice breakers and team games
10:00pm-onwards  Briefing for the next day and bedtime
Tuesday April 14th Activities
7:30am – 8:30am Breakfast
8:30am – 1:00pm Transfer to KILIM Geopark. Study visit to the Langkawi Geopark Discovery Center. Kayaking at KILIM Geopark. Tea Break: Mangrove Replanting to aid Conservation
1:00pm – 3:00pm Transfer back to hotel and lunch
3:00pm – 6:30pm Island-Hopping Boat Tour to islands off Langkawi. Tea Break then Conservation Beach Clean-Up with data sent to NGOs
6:30pm – 8:30pm Wash-Up and Dinner at 7:30pm
8:30pm – 10:00pm Briefing on Rumah Nur Kasih, prepare for visit to the house
10:00pm Briefing for the next day and bed time
Wednesday April 15th Activities
7:30am – 8:30am Breakfast
8:30am – 12:30pm Transfer to Langkawi Wildlife Park. Educational visit, and building nests for wild birds, Morning Break
12:30am – 1:30pm  Lunch
1:30pm – 5:30pm Ulu Melaka Island Cycling Tour and tea break
5:30pm – 7:30pm Transfer back to the hotel, wash-up and rest
7:30pm – 8:30pm Dinner
8:30pm – 10:00pm CLC Session for Service Learning: Understanding needs and connecting the well.
10:00pm Briefing for the following day and bed time

8:30am – 12:30pm Visit to Rumah Nur Kasih, Run educational program for the children, Donate and fix-up home refurbishments, Morning Break
12:30am – 1:30pm  Lunch
1:30pm – 6:00pm Transfer to Skytrex High Elements and Zip-lining, and Tea Break
6:00pm – 7:30pm Rest & Wash up
7:30pm – 8:30pm Dinner

Friday April 17th Activities
7:30am-9:00am Breakfast & check out
9:30am – 12:30pm SkyCab, SkyBridge and SkyTrail at Mount Cinchang and Morning Break
12:30am – 1:30pm  Own lunch at the airport
1:30pm – 5:00pm Flight back  to JB at 3:40pm, arrives Senai at 5pm. Parent pick-up from Senai airport

Grade 11 – 12

River Kwai, Thailand

13 – 18 April

Students will travel to Kanchanaburi, Thailand, and will spend the week on/ next to River Kwai. Kanchanaburi is famous for two things predominantly; history, specifically its World War Two History, and its picturesque natural landscape full of beautiful rivers, waterfalls, and natural caves. Our students will be involved in various cultural, service-learning and  outdoor activities, coordinated by the excellent Asia Pacific Adventure. Examples of what is coordinated for our students are a cultural exchange activity at a local school, a Thai cooking course, History hikes and kayaking on River Kwai to name a few. This tour is absolutely rich with experiences and our students will learn more than they can imagine. We are incredibly excited for them to immerse themselves in this trip.
