I am passionate about providing the conditions for students to become critical thinkers who develop a strong interest in the humanities and social sciences. Where possible, this is best enacted through a “gradual release” approach, where during each unit of study, the classroom slowly transforms from teacher-driven to being driven by student inquiry. Over my 15 years of teaching, what always excites me the most is to see students gain confidence, achieve more than they knew they were capable of, and succeed beyond their expectations.
