Mr. Morrison’s teaching philosophy is rooted in a dynamic, hands-on approach that sparks student curiosity and inquiry. He believes that in every hour of his class, students should achieve two goals: building confidence and generating momentum. While acknowledging that obstacles may arise, he emphasizes the importance of pushing forward. As he often reminds his students, “It’s okay to get stuck, but it’s not okay to stay stuck. We have the support and resources to help us move towards our learning goals.”

In his multifaceted roles as Student Council Advisor, whole-school Digital Learning Coach, and dedicated volunteer, Mr. Morrison delights in observing the continuous evolution of creative technology usage in the Elementary School. Additionally, he actively fosters student engagement in the vibrant Secondary School culture through a variety of events and activities.

As a Technology Integration Specialist and Computer Science teacher at Raffles American School, Ken collaborates closely with both students and educators. He assists teachers in designing captivating activities that incorporate technology and empowers them to embrace new technological trends, tips, and tools. Ken also offers after-school professional development sessions and one-to-one coaching to support the school’s busy teachers.

As an Apple Distinguished Educator and Google Certified Educator, Ken remains committed to his professional growth, participating in annual online and face-to-face training sessions conducted by Apple and Google engineers.

With a Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Emporia State University, Ken brings a wealth of international teaching experience to Raffles American School. Having taught diverse groups ranging from university students to K-12 international school students, he finds great satisfaction in the educational emphasis placed by many Asian families. Outside of teaching, Ken indulges in his love for learning, enjoys outdoor activities like bicycling and spending time in nature, and immerses himself in exploring the history and cultures of the countries he visits.
