Prep Academy Overview

Raffles American School Prep Academy is a preparatory English-language program designed for learners aged 3 to 18. Enrollment is on a month-to-month basis. We offer structured programs in English language development and test preparation, helping students build a strong foundation for academic success and eventual enrollment in an English-medium school. The program also serves as preparation for future successful enrollment in Raffles American School for those who may not be able to fully commit to an entire academic school year.

In addition to the English language offerings, we provide Prep Academy participants with personalized college counseling services. Our counseling includes:

  • Strategic planning for entry into international schools and overseas universities
  • Expert guidance on school selection, application planning, and interview preparation
  • Ongoing support for academic progress and future planning
  • Parent consultations and progress updates to align with family goals

The aim is to equip students with the academic English skills and confidence needed to one day enroll as a student in Raffles American School, or other top international schools and universities. Raffles American School Prep Academy serves as a bridge to global education opportunities.

With personalized, level-specific learning pathways, from early English learning to academic readiness and beyond, we target each student’s preparation for success in a global environment.

*As our Prep Academy falls under our camp offerings, participants are not enrolled as students of Raffles American School and, therefore, do not receive academic credit. The Prep Academy is a specialized program designed for individuals who choose to focus exclusively on improving English language skills in a supportive and immersive learning environment at Raffles American School.

The preparatory program focuses on these key areas: English language development and exam readiness. Through a carefully structured, step-by-step curriculum, it supports each participant at every stage of one’s educational journey from early language acquisition to advanced test preparation and long-term academic planning.

The English Prep Program is designed for students with English proficiency levels between A1 and B1. The program focuses on developing the four essential language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while integrating vocabulary and grammar to build a strong foundation in English.

In addition to language instruction, students engage in subject-based English across areas such as Mathematics, Science, Social Studies (History & Geography), and the Arts. This approach helps students become familiar with academic vocabulary and reading materials commonly used in international schools, preparing them to participate confidently in an all-English classroom environment.

We offer both long-term and short-term study options:

  • Long-Term Program: One semester (approximately 4 months), with intakes every February and August. Students enrolled in this program are eligible to apply for a student visa.

  • Short-Term Program: Intensive 1-month courses offered during winter and summer holidays, designed for rapid language improvement.

Additionally, we provide rolling admissions throughout the year, allowing students to join the program at any time.
