Originally from South Africa, Ms. Carmel Gajjar brings a diverse background in international education, with over 10 years of experience teaching in South Korea, Myanmar, and the United States. She is a licensed Special Education teacher in Colorado and spent three years teaching Middle School English Language Arts and Social Studies at Yangon International School in Myanmar. Her instructional philosophy centers on student engagement, inclusive practice, and inquiry-based learning, with curriculum grounded in students’ prior knowledge and real-world application. Ms. Carmel holds a Master of Education in TESOL from Framingham State University and a Master of Teaching in Special Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Outside the classroom, she enjoys reading, jogging, and traveling.
