An American-style boarding school in Malaysia is a welcoming place where students feel at home. They get a great education while making new friends from all over the world. Our Mission

To provide a safe and nurturing environment that allows students to build upon their strengths while challenging them to become holistic learners and global citizens. Our program emphasizes the development of empathy, critical thinking, self-awareness, and accountability, ensuring that students are academically, socially, and emotionally prepared for life beyond school.

The Six Pillars

Boarding guide students to engage in school activities, develop social and learning skills, and grow as leaders. Through sports, clubs, and outreach programs, students learn the value of community service, humility, and their role in society, while building confidence and creating lasting friendships.

Senior boarders are encouraged to immerse themselves in the school community by participating in numerous extracurricular activities and sports. Our senior boarding program focuses on academic success. We provide structured study sessions in our common areas and regular meetings with teachers to monitor students’ progress. Our dedicated staff assists students with goal setting and action plans, ensuring that they are well-prepared for future academic challenges.

The senior boarding environment at Raffles is designed to be friendly, caring, and supportive. Our staff is always available to offer guidance and advice, helping students to overcome obstacles in a constructive manner. We organize structured outings, socials, and interactions to foster holistic learning and character development.

Why Raffles American Boarding School?

Spacious Dormitories
Each floor houses 11-13 twin rooms. Rooms are furnished with comfortable beds, personal safes, study desks, large windows for natural lighting, and air conditioning.
COMMON AREAS
Every floor has a cozy common room with a television, comfortable seating, and lounges. The ground floor features a larger common area for all boarding students to socialize, equipped with recreational activities and a “tuckshop” for snacks and essential items.
SAFETY & SECURITY
Access to the boarding facility is controlled by individual key cards, and dedicated security staff monitor the premises 24/7. Each floor is overseen by a qualified Resident Assistant who lives on-site to ensure student safety and well-being.
WIFI & CAMPUS ACCESS
Boarding students can access WiFi throughout the school and use campus amenities, which include sports facilities and study spaces.
PHYSICAL CARE
A dedicated boarding nurse resides on campus, ensuring that students receive immediate care in case of emergencies. Additionally, our school counsellor is available to support students with personal concerns.

Daily Schedule

Our carefully structured daily schedule ensures a balanced routine that supports academic success, personal development, and relaxation. Students begin their day with a morning roll call and inspection, followed by a nutritious breakfast. After a day of classes and extracurricular activities, students engage in evening study sessions, with time set aside for personal relaxation and socialization. On weekends, students enjoy a variety of activities, including trips to local attractions and movie nights.

7:20am: Roll call and uniform check. Staff check to make sure rooms are neat and tidy. Be ready for inspection at 7:20
7:20am – 7:50am: Breakfast and announcements
7:50am: Classes– students bring school bags and materials to breakfast. Students may visit the clinic.
11:45am– 1:00pm: Lunch– according to academic timetable
3:15pm – 5:00pm: Extra-curricular activities
6:00pm: Dinner. Staff to check all students at dinner.
6:30pm – 6:45pm: Shower time (Thursday meeting at 6:30pm)
6:50pm: Roll call and announcements on 1st floor.
7:00pm – 7:50pm: 1st study session
7:50pm – 8:00pm: Break (10 minutes) Snack time
8:00pm – 9:00pm: 2nd study session
9:15pm – 9:45pm: 3rd Study session (Grade 11, 12)
9:00pm – 9:30pm: Free time if not in the 3rd study session (laptop for games, etc.) or shower time.
9:30pm – 10:30pm: Bedtime (Quiet time according to age and grade.)
