Timothy holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a focus on Educational Sociology, Educational Technology & Comparative Education from Portland State University, USA. He is a certified and licensed elementary school educator and consultant with over 12 years of experience in various local and international schools in Singapore, Malaysia, Korea & China. During his time as an international teacher, Timothy taught the Cambridge International Primary Program and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Timothy feels that his core strengths lie in the Teaching of the English Language, Integration of Technology in Education, and Curriculum Development & Review.
Timothy’s experience working in large, international teams has led him to believe that his greatest value lies in being a compassionate, enthusiastic, and innovative educator. This is crucial as he feels that international teaching is fast-paced, ever-evolving, and with a high degree of emotional investment. He constantly challenges himself in the classroom to provide students with creative and innovative lessons to drive their curiosity, and his commitment to quality in the classroom has allowed him to see his students achieve exceptional educational outcomes. It is his goal to make a lasting impact on student’s lives and make a positive contribution to Raffles American school and the Johor community.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing games and solving puzzles, running, and kickboxing!
