Patrick McCallum has been teaching at RAS since August 2019. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Teaching from the Australian Catholic University and is a highly experienced teacher having taught for more than 20 years. Before joining us here at RAS, Patrick has taught and held leadership positions in International Schools in Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and his home country, Australia. He is a Google certified educator who has presented at international conferences and teacher professional development seminars on using technology as an effective and innovative tool in the classroom.
Patrick believes strongly in developing strong relationships with each child and their families in order for each child to thrive and do their best. Children in his class feel supported and challenged through a rigorous academic program that is differentiated to meet the needs of each individual. He encourages each child to be independent and work hard, to be kind to others, and to collaborate as a community of learners in the classroom, learning through inquiry about the world around them. An enthusiastic singer and guitar player, Patrick also brings this to life in his classroom enjoying sharing songs with his students. On the weekend you will often find Patrick on the golf course as he strives to improve his personal best or cooking a delicious meal at home with his family.
