David has mentored and coached children for many years in a variety of formats. After leaving retail management, he spent sixteen years in the New Zealand Police Force. His work with the effects of domestic violence, as well as the youth in the community, gave him a passion to help people succeed and led him to complete a Bachelor of Counselling. He has used this to counsel, guide, and mentor groups of men and worked as second-in-charge at a large 24/7 supportive accommodation facility for 3 years. Dave believes that everyone deserves a chance and thoroughly enjoys building relationships with people, helping them understand themselves and their strengths better in order to succeed and reach their fullest potential. Dave enjoys a variety of sporting activities, including coaching and playing football and is glad to be part of the Raffles team.
