Christi-Ann is looking forward to a new teaching adventure in Malaysia at Raffles American School. Christi-Ann holds a Bachelor of Education in Junior Primary Teaching and a Masters of Education in TESOL from the University of South Australia. After living in China, Japan, Indonesia, and the USA, Raffles will be Christi-Ann’s 5th international posting. Through each of these new cultures, languages, and school curriculums, she brings with her a broad range of skills and a global perspective for best teaching and learning practices.
Christi-Ann is passionate about teaching the youngest learners and creating engaging play experiences for students to explore, inquire and wonder about the world around them. Although she has been teaching for over 15 years across all elementary grade levels, Kindergarten is her absolute favorite, and she is excited to be starting the learning journey here at Raffles with the Kindergarten class of 2021. Christi-Ann will bring her 7-year-old daughter to Malaysia and can relate well to the student’s parents on an empathetic and understanding level, in turn, building strong relationships between home and school. Developing children who love to learn and ask questions is what her teaching practice is all about.
