As many of you are aware, the Year of the Rat has not been as bountiful as was probably expected. The rat is the beginning of a new cycle and a new day that approaches. We might be in the midnight of this cycle, however where there is night there is also light with a new beginning.
Recently, I was reading an excerpt by a Feng Shui Master that the year of the rat is a year of interactions where “HU” is the buzz word of 2020. According to his analysis, this is a time of improvement and greater cooperation and, given the recent pandemic, I couldn’t agree more. We have all been experiencing great changes to our daily lives and we are all seeking greater understanding. I am sure that over the past few weeks we have all found that through greater cooperation we can overcome the difficulties we face today.
As we come to the close of this academic year, it is the time that we should all be looking forward to the future. Your children have gone through a traumatic period in their lives, but through this experience they have grown and gathered invaluable lessons. They now have a greater understanding of diligence and perseverance, as well as the importance of family, friendships, and camaraderie.
RAS will continue to offer the best education, and over the summer we will work to optimize our facilities so that your children can have a safe and healthy environment where they can pursue their academic growth. In addition, many of our teachers will be returning for the next academic year, which is a testament to the bonds that exist within our “RAS family”. Your child will return to a classroom where there is a familiar face and where there is a common bond of having been through these traumatic times together. The classrooms and educational materials will have been completely disinfected and more stringent protocols for safety will be implemented. Despite the complications that the outside world is facing, RAS will continue to put your child’s education, safety, and well-being at the forefront of our mission.
In the weeks to come your child will receive their final reports, and as parents you will be receiving a lot of information concerning the start of the next academic year. As you have already been told, we will be starting the next academic year earlier, which will be an opportunity for your child to quickly pick up where they left off.
As I have mentioned previously, the year of the Rat is one of greater understanding and cooperation, and I believe that the next academic year will be one that is filled with greatness. Through the hardships that we have all faced this year we will emerge wiser and with greater purpose. I look forward to seeing you all again next year when we can share a smile and build a brighter future.
